As a member of the consortium, your $500 fee will entitle you to the following:

  • One complete set of scores and parts for each of the three compositions delivered via email in PDF format, along with any EA component, by their respective delivery date.

  • School/Organization name listed on each composition (if joined prior to publication date).

  • School/Organization name listed on the N-BEAM website and other publications/media.

  • Retain ownership rights to use and copy those PDF parts for your school/ensemble in perpetuity.

  • Right to list your performance of each work as a premiere.

  • Reference recordings of each work, as performed by the Bowling Green State University Wind Symphony, under the direction of Dr. Kenneth Thompson.

  • A Skype rehearsal session for you and your ensemble with Dan Montoya during the concert cycle that includes your premiere of his composition.

  • A Skype rehearsal session for you and your ensemble with Alex Shapiro during the concert cycle that includes your premiere of her composition.

  • The right to video-record performances and upload them to the internet, pending approval from the composer, for non-commercial use.

  • Technical assistance for electronic setup and performance by the Consortium Director.

  • Any other benefits as described in the consortium contract.

You may arrange, at your own expense, Skype sessions with Ben Taylor.  You may also purchase, directly from each composer, hard copies of the scores and/or parts of each composition.

The Fine Print

As a potential member of the consortium, please be advised:​​

  • The consortium requires at least 30 member schools/ensembles to fund the project.

  • Memberships will be accepted until November 1, 2022, or until all available consortium member slots have been secured via the receipt of completed contract and payment in full of $500 received by the Consortium Director.

  • Each individual school/member is responsible for upholding all terms of the consortium contract, including any specific terms set to protect the intellectual property rights of the individual composers.

  • Daniel Montoya Jr., Benjamin Taylor and Alex Shapiro are scheduled to participate.


Membership for the current consortium is now open. Please click below and fill out the information below to start the consortium membership process.  Once we have received your Membership Agreement, the Consortium Director will send you a contract to sign for you to complete this process.

If you are not a school or performing wind ensemble, and would like to help make this project a reality, we would be honored to have you donate to the N-BEAM consortium project.  Donations in any amount will be graciously accepted.


Individual donors will have their name listed on the N-BEAM website, specific publications and/or media, and in the program at the world premiere of each piece. Organizations that offer grants or other funding will be listed per their written agreement/contract.

The Woodhaven Band Boosters, the organizational host of the N-BEAM consortium project, is a 501c3 organization. As such, your donation may be tax deductible. Their IRS tax information is available upon request.  All potential donors should perform their due diligence to determine their ability to claim this as a deduction.
