Univ. of Memphis & NYU Join N-BEAM

The University of Memphis Bands, under the direction of Armand Hall, and the NYU Bands, under the direction of Michael Breaux, have joined the New Band Electro-Acoustic Music consortium (N-BEAM). They have become the 24th and 25th member ensembles of the consortium. These 25 ensembles will receive one composition a year, beginning in January 2018, for the next three years. The composers creating works for N-BEAM are Benjamin Taylor (2018), Daniel Montoya (2019) and Alex Shapiro (2020). Each of the compositions will include an electronic component as part of their work.
