Montoya's got an "Axe To Grind"

N-BEAM composer Daniel Montoya Jr. has just submitted his 2019 contribution to a consortium of 34 ensembles, looking to promote electroacoustic music for wind ensembles. His composition "Axe To Grind" is written for winds, percussion and four iPads.

Montoya describes the piece as "basically a love song to the rock music of the 70's (Led Zeppelin), synth/hair rock of the 80's (Van Halen, Bon Jovi), and the rock music of the 90's (Metallica, GnR). This work utilizes 4 iPads and the Garage Band app. For those looking for a 'baby version' of GARAGE BAND, this piece is for you.
